I design and build websites. I learned the craft in a print shop.
I'm Óscar del Palacio, a graphic designer and web developer in Madrid. I lead the production and web design team at Impronta Digital, a digital marketing agency, and on the side I work on my own projects where design, code and artificial intelligence meet.
Before designing for screens I spent four years making what other people designed. That changes how you work: I know what it takes for something to come out right, and I design with the build in mind.
Path
2018 – 2022
Print production
I started in production, first at Martosa and then at El Demonio Rojo: final artwork, finishing, guillotine, plotter, die-cutting. Four years watching a design become an object, and seeing what breaks along the way when the design doesn't think about manufacturing.
2022 – 2023
From paper to screen
At Pipote I moved into digital design: UX/UI prototyping in Figma, WordPress design and e-commerce maintenance. The same care for the finish, now in interfaces.
2024
Design and brand
At Creativemas, WordPress and e-commerce design, graphic creative work in Photoshop and Illustrator, branding and corporate identity for clients across very different sectors.
Now
Production lead
At Impronta Digital I lead the production and web design team: planning, quality control, and making sure every project reaches the client the way it was designed. Design, code, SEO and marketing at one table.
EducationDegree in Graphic Design (I.E.S. Europa) and Web Application Development (Grupo Fidsoft).
How I work
What I bring to every project
Think about the build
A design that doesn't know how it will be built is a sketch. I design with the code and the budget in mind.
The finish
What separates correct work from good work is the last few millimetres: the kerning, the hover state, the margin nobody sees and everybody notices.
Fast and clear
A beautiful website that takes three seconds to load is an ugly website. Weight, legibility and order before effects.
AI as a tool
I use it every day to go faster and further. The judgement is still mine.
Now
I live in Madrid and work remotely or on site, in Spanish and English.
Outside the agency I spend time on my own projects about how artificial intelligence changes the way we design and build: agents, automation, interfaces that think.
Available for new projects from November.
